Course Overview:
Effective oracy is an essential lifelong skill. Making children competent communicators develops confidence, giving every child the capacity to have a voice and feel listened to. During this course, we will discuss ways to develop oracy on a whole school level as well as explore strategies that can be used within the classroom.
Aims of the course:
- Explore the key aims of the Oracy Commission
- Explore strategies to develop oracy in the classroom and beyond
- Discuss what makes children effective communicators
- Discuss the meaning of oracy
