Teach the Year 5 and 6 Statutory Spellings using phonics and spelling structure.
The Teach Hub has devised a 256 slide PowerPoint to support the teaching and learning of the Statutory words for Year 5 and Year 6. The Statutory words have also been divided into sections to enable them to be taught according to the graphemes or morphology. The etymology, phonics, syllables, affixes are all included where appropriate.
Some of the words occur in more than one list as they can be included according to different criteria. The animated PowerPoints create a build-up of information for each word. A PDF versions is also included.
