Whole Class Reading resources and planning for Year 2 in a zip file based on Lily and the Snowman – a film clip from The Literacy Shed. This links closely to a winter themed topic.
In this pack you will find 2 x whole class lessons (an hour-long for each – or you can split them), an editable PowerPoint presentation, the task sheets (including an SEN sheet for Week 2), the word document texts to show evidence in ‘prediction’ and ‘retrieval’, and the text for week 2 all ready to print. Please note that there is no text for Week 1 as it is based on the film clip. The text for Week 2 is based on a set of instructions for making a snowman that doesn’t melt. These resources will show evidence for a number of reading skills at different abilities.
