Julia Donaldson’s use of language in this narrative rhyming poem really challenges the children to reading a wider variety of tier two words. This text links well with an Africa topic and it’s one of our favourites!
In this pack you will find 2 x whole class lessons (an hour long for each – or you can split them), inference warm ups; an editable PowerPoint presentation; vocabulary focus throughout; the task sheets with scaffolding support and the word document texts to show evidence all ready to print. These resources will show evidence for a number of reading skills at different abilities.
